FREE MATH LESSON - “Quadrilaterals Sign or Handout”

by Teacher Addict
2nd - 5th Grade

This has four different options for you to choose from. The portrait versions are each 8 x 11. One has the term "kite" on it, and one does not.

There is also a landscape version where two pages go together to make a larger size poster. Each of these also come with or without the term "kite". I made this sign for student reference on a wall in my room, but it could also be a handout given to students for their math notebooks.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Final Stable Syllable Center Game”

by McLaren Marvels
1st - 4th Grade

Final Stable Syllables (FSS)! My kids have trouble remembering that these syllables ALWAYS make the same sound. To help them practice, we created a game that can be played as a small group or in a center. The point of this game is for kids to practice saying the sounds of the different FSS. This game includes 7 jungle themed game boards. These boards include FSS ble, tle, dle, ple, fle, gle, tion, and ture. The rules for this game are included. I plan to laminate these boards and let the kids use a dry-erase crayon or marker to mark the words off with. It may be helpful to have them code their boards are soon as they get them. I tell them the vowels are VERY scared of brackets. If a vowel is next to a bracket, it will almost always scream its name. This may help them pronounce the words correctly. One of the rules is that if they mispronounce a word, they lose their turn. This way they are careful to say the word correctly and the other players will be paying attention to make sure they do! We also sell a vowel digraph game, Combination Cross-out, and Consonant Connect if you are looking for more center games. These games are great for differentiation. The game cards range in difficulty. They could be used for a number of different ability levels. Thank you!!!!

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Long e/ee Buzz! & Activity Sheets (Freebie!) (Works with Honeybees story)”

by Mrs Magee
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Print the word cards and Buzz cards. Two options are available: full color and a blackline version you can print on regular or colored paper/cardstock. Laminate your cards to make them more durable and cut apart.

Mix all of the cards up and place in a bag, box, or other fun container. Students take turns drawing out one card at a time. The student reads the card. If they read it successfully, the next student takes their turn. If a student reads a word incorrectly, he or she places the word card into the container. If a BUZZ card is drawn, all of that player’s cards are returned to the container.

This game can be played with partners, small groups, or with the whole class in a circle.

Two follow up activities are included where students practice spelling words with a long e sound and identifyingwords with a long e sound.

This activity works perfectly with theScott Foresman Reading Street’s story Honeybees and the week’s spelling words!

SEESAW PRELOADED LINK FREE FILE FOR Distance Learning kindergarten! Distance learning can be a challenge. BUT Seesaw is a fantastic platform to help make it more manageable. This sight word activity is fun! fun! fun! I am sorry, the sight words are not editable.

The best part? This FREE Seesaw activity has been already loaded for you. All you need is a Seesaw account and the link that is provided in this file. WOOT!

These are partner games and designed to strengthen End of Year Kindergarten skills or review the Back to School Skills for First Grade.

  • An original sight word game that has been preloaded to SEESAW
  • Google Slides ready PowerPoint. With a few clicks, add this activity to your Google Classroom.
  • Video "I Can" card. You won't have to hear, "I don't know what to do again!"

Q: Can I see a step by step process on how to load the files to Seesaw?

A: Yes! Click on the video links above

Q: How does this connect to Seesaw?

A: Inside the download, you will find links for each activity for the week. You simply need to open the file called READ ME FIRST. Then click on the link (inside of the PDF) and it will ask if you want to add it to your Seesaw library. How EASY IS THAT!?

Q: Will these files also work in Google Classrooms?

A: We have added a PowerPoint version and the moveable parts/backdrop screen have all been saved as individual files. You can upload them to your Google Classroom account.

Q: Do you need my Seesaw login information?

A: No, inside of the document, there are links. As you click on the links, the lesson will be added to YOUR set Seesaw activities. It does not matter if your TpT email is different than your Seesaw email.

Q: Can I share these files with my parents?

A: These files are meant to be shared. They may not be placed on a school-wide server that is not password protected.

Q: Can I share these files with my team:

A. This purchase is for a single classroom use only. You may purchase an additional license if you wish to share the files with another teacher.

Q: Will my parents need a different login to use these activities.

A: No, these activities will be added to your library and you can assign them as usual.

Q: Can I edit the audio of the premade Seesaw activities.

A: Absolutely! Directions are included in the download.

Q: I'm having trouble loading the activities into my Seesaw account.

A: Please know that Seesaw is a bit busy right now. A trick is to log out of your account then click the link in the PDF again. That seems to work perfectly. You may need to repeat these steps of logging out and then clicking the links.

Q: Will these work on Google Classroom, One Drive, Canva, Class Dojo?

A: As I am not fully versed on those platforms, I will say this. You will be given a PowerPoint version of the file. You will also get a PNG file for each backdrop screen and every movable piece.
