Whether you are a Christian School, Sunday School, Kids' Church teacher needing to send home work with students for distance learning, a parent filling in gaps during breaks or summer, a homeschooling parent, a teacher planning an extended absence from your classroom, or a teacher teaching online for any number of reasons, these bible-based student-choice menu boards are no prep, highly engaging, and purposeful. Schedule bible time in your at-home daily routine with these simple ideas. Each task has a matching bible verse, too!

Student Experience: Students can stay close to Jesus with these activities. Students can choose from reading bible stories, watching worship videos, getting creative, and going outside. Each task is specifically written to teach a bible lesson and reinforce skills as well. Many of the tasks will require assistance, as they are written for the early childhood age range. Students will be engaged, not just busy.

SIMPLE ONE-TIME PREP 

• Print the pages
• Slide the pages into plastic sheet protectors 
• Clip the sheet protectors into a 3-ring binder or folder
• Provide each student with their Number of the Day Binder and a whiteboard marker (if you prefer to use these as a center, just make a few binders instead of a class set).

• Teacher selects a new number each day
• Students complete multiple pages in their binder (3-4 pages is recommended for a 10-15 minute warm-up)
• After students complete their assigned pages, they tap their heads silently to signal they are done

• Teacher signals students to tuck their binder away after work has been checked
• Teacher notes mentally, or in writing which students need follow-up instruction related to their place value practice
• Teacher follows up on misconceptions and mistakes as needed during the math block

FREE MATH LESSON - “Christmas Santa’s Beard Countdown Math Activity”

This two page product is a math activity for counting down the days until December 25th Christmas Day. One page is color and the other is black and white.

It starts on December 1st by gluing one cotton ball on the #1 spot. Glue one piece on everyday until the big day!

It is good practice for number sequence, plus adding and subtracting the days until the 25th! It can be hung in your classroom or send one home with each child.

I sent home a copy of Santa's Beard and a bag of 25 cotton balls to each child. It makes a great early student Christmas present!

If no cotton is available, the numbers can be colored or marked off as each day passes.
