FREE SCIENCE LESSON - “Osmosis Kinesthetic Model Understand by Acting it Out for Middle School”

Acting science processes out can help comprehension of complicated ideas and give opportunities for using vocabulary, and kinesthetic models are fun. No specialized materials are required for doing this activity!

You need a classroom space, slips of paper and tape, and some desks. Students act out osmosis as water (solvent) particles and mixtures of water and solute particles. They interact as particles would and interact with a semi-permeable membrane constructed from classroom desks.

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Free Positive Reinforcement Punch Cards for Classroom Behavior Management”

These free behavior punch cards provide a quick and fun way to provide positive reinforcement to students without having to track down or manage tokens. You can color the dots or use a hole punch to fill them in and never have to keep track of tokens or pennies again. And they are a fun way for students to get positive reinforcement and recognition for correct answers or appropriate behavior.

These behavior punch cards are designed to provide an easy way to use a token system with students whose appropriate behavior you are trying to increase. Setting up this system for your classroom behavior management is EASY! They require minimum prep because you can print them, cut them, and punch them with a hole puncher.

Included in this free set of behavior punch cards:

• 2 different color pictures (white present & red present) with 10 punch-out circles
• 2 different color pictures (black penguin & blue penguin) with 5 punch-out circles
• Ways to use punch cards AND a link to a blog post with information about reinforcers & preference assessments.
• Printing instructions to make the punch cards in THREE different sizes!

Using these cards for positive reinforcement is easy! Students can earn a punch for specific behaviors and then, when they fill their punch card, they can exchange it for a desired reinforcer.  The reinforcer might be related to the card itself (e.g., cupcake, soda) or not. Classroom behavior management has never been this easy or fun! 

Try using these positive reinforcement cards for:

✅ correct answers

✅ completing work 

✅ appropriate behaviors

✅ period completed with appropriate behavior

This pack contains a set of 8 questions on the subject of Algebra free of charge to give you a sample of our task cards. The questions in this pack are unique to our main task card bundle, which can be purchased here.

The questions include simple real life situations, nth term questions and sequences, working with simple algebraic equations, and geometry related questions. The cards introduce the idea that algebra has a function in the real world, providing a strong base for the continued learning of Algebra.
