FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Super Spelling Freebie”

by Daisy Designs
Pre-Kindergarten - 5th Grade

UPDATED with better graphics and easier to read fonts: December 30, 2016

Hooray for FREEBIE TIME! This is a great tool I've been using in my Kindergarten class for spelling words. We call it "Super Spelling" and it is a great weekly center for practicing spelling words. The kiddos love to write in colors and they especially LOVE to write in markers, so this gives them that opportunity and it sneaks in that extra practice.

It is a great resource for morning work, centers, homework, extra practice, or for those tricky early finishers. And the nice thing is... it can be used for a lot of different grade levels and can be used all year round.

Leave me a comment! I'd love to hear how this is working for you and your munchkins. And don't forget to check out my blog (Daisy Designs) and to follow me on Pinterest and Twitter!

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “FREE - Reading Survey”

by Mrs G's Goobers

Short 10 question reading survey for upper elementary students! I use this at the beginning of the school year to assess students' reading interests, how much they know about reading in general, and their attitude towards reading. We also use it as a jumping off point for our discussion on what makes a good reader! Great for an introduction to reader's workshop, guided reading groups, book clubs, or any upper elementary/middle school literacy block!
