This product is part of an ever-growing bundle of kinesthetic models for middle school and it will be included in a product dedicated to osmosis.
Acting science processes out can help comprehension of complicated ideas and give opportunities for using vocabulary, and kinesthetic models are fun. No specialized materials are required for doing this activity!
You need a classroom space, slips of paper and tape, and some desks. Students act out osmosis as water (solvent) particles and mixtures of water and solute particles. They interact as particles would and interact with a semi-permeable membrane constructed from classroom desks.
