Start the New School Year with Friendship and Kindness

Start off the school year with kind words and actions. This little resource is a way to encourage your children (grades 1-3) to think about what it means to have a friend, and more importantly--to be a friend.

The foldable book and writing prompts will get them thinking of ways they can be helpful, kind, and share together. Your students will also enjoy personalizing and handing out bookmarks as a token of friendship. (One teacher used these to send to their new pen pals!)

Stop in at Growing Smart Readers, where you will find even more resources that foster friendship and kindness. Of course, friendship and kindness are not seasonal topics...so, whether it's the beginning of the year, the middle, or the end, resources like this one do not expire!

Wishing you a fantastic start with your kids!
