This is a sample of my word wheels bundle! Word wheels allow students to practice reading words with consonant clusters/letter blends in an engaging, hands-on way. Cut the wheel out, punch a hole in the middle, and fasten with a brad. I laminate my word wheels, as well, because they hold up a lot longer! I also print them on colored paper to make them more fun! I use the wheels during guided reading stations or as morning work or extra reading practice. I ask my students to write sentences using the words in the wheels, too! The letter blend in this free sample is for “sh,” but the full product includes are: bl, br, ch, cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, pr, sc, sh, sk, sl, sm, sn, sp, st, sw, th, tr, tw, wh, and wr. Enjoy!
