Each slide explains the step in the system, then asks students to research what might have gone wrong at that step to cause the power outage. When they have completed all the steps, you will hand them a card (or virtual card) that will tell them where their power was interrupted. This encourages them to make a comprehensive list of problems. If the card they received matches or nearly matches one of the problems on their list, they earn a prize from you!

FREE MATH LESSON - “Free Downloads St. Patrick’s Day Addition and Subtraction Game! Centers”

by Created by Kimberly Sullivan
1st - 3rd Grade

Bear’s St. Patrick's Day Addition and Subtraction Game!

This free game is both fun and engaging!

Theme: St. Patrick’s Day

Purpose: to review addition and subtraction facts

Players move around the coins to the pot of gold finish.

36 lucky shamrock cards with 2 facts on each card.

Great for math centers and early finishers.

All clipart is from mycutegraphics.com

I also provided a task card recording sheet if you would like your students to review without using the game.

The title of the game is Bear’s St. Patrick’s Day Game.

For grade 3, you could have your students use multiplication and division flash cards. They could also make their own cards using sight words, spelling words, or vocabulary cards. Students can draw a shamrock on each card they make for the game to represent the lucky shamrock. The same directions can be used except if you are using words, tell your students to say the word correctly or spell the word correctly, etc. to move ahead.

The game can be used for any type of review.

I hope your students enjoy this freebie!

Thanks for downloading and feedback is always appreciated!

Stop again and click on the green star for special notifications.

Sincerely,
Kimberly Sullivan
