Pre-Kindergarten - 1st Grade
This is a single page sample of a categorizing activity, adding ice cream scoops to their category cones. I have included 3 category cones and 9 ice cream scoops to give you an idea of what the whole resource is like.
Inside the full resource pack you will find a variety of ice cream related activities for speech-language therapy. Following each set of cones and scoops, there are basic directions for some simple games to play with these materials. The only exception is the last activity - matching initial sounds. The easiest way to use these I have found is a matching (Memory) type of game.
There are:
16 categories with 3 members each
36 adjectives; students name the members
32 sets of opposites
32 rhyming words; 2 rhymes for each
16 cones with Noun/pronoun sentence starters, match the ice cream scoops to complete the sentences with verbs, objects, places, times
16 cones with items to define or describe, 4 ice cream scoops for each to complete, but you can choose to do fewer
16 cones and scoops to match initial sounds of words (uses pictures)
