How do you introduce a lesson on persuasive writing? Here's one idea, use these two letters to get your students discussing what makes a letter persuasive.
In this printable Luke and Lucy both wrote letters to their parents requesting a dog. One letter is persuasive, while the other...well...not so much. Have students read and discuss which of the two children is more likely to receive a dog and why.
