by Growing Smart Readers
1st - 3rd Grade
This is a fun fluency game! I have, Who has is a popular game for building fluency, and learning other subskills. Vocabulary for the cards includes school-related nouns with a surprise ending.
The 30 cards relate to the classroom or the school day. Example: One player reads:" I have books. Who has ruler?" The next person reads: I have ruler, who has desk?"
Kids usually have a blast playing and reading this quick game. It works well when you have a few spare minutes before switching classes, or in between activities. It can also be played as a brain break.
This kind of activity ensures that the whole group participates.
Everyone is a winner...when they play this cooperative game.
So much fun...and they practice fluency at the same time!
Common Core aligned for fluency for grades 1 and 2.
