It’s a small investment that pays off every day when students start lessons feeling capable and ready!

Help students (and others!) make peace with some confusing words for usage and spelling with this product full of tricks and tips (on posters and flash cards) for using and spelling common problem words correctly.

This free product contains:

4 full color posters
4 full color flash cards

selected from the posters and flash cards for 53+ troublesome words in the full Confused, Abused, Misused product available at Commonly Confused, Misused, Abused Words.

These helps are designed to provide important tricks and reminders for correct use of these confusing words. The words included were selected because of the frequency of their misspelling and misuse. The tricks are “tried and true” tricks applied in elementary, middle and high school classrooms for learning to utilize these words properly.

The posters are 8 ½ X 11 and suitable for classroom posting.

The flash cards are suitable for student deck creation. Students may collect the cards they need into a handy reference. The flash cards may be hole-punched in one corner and attached to a ring to keep them organized.

Numbers-To-Words Cryptogram…….Many of my learning packets have cryptograms like this one that also actually teach information not just words since they are in informational contexts. This one is for numbers-to-words;

Letters-To-Words Cryptogram…..The type shown here is also used in many of my resources; such tools also teach meaningfully as the words are inside of sentences that explain information or ideas. Students work but are happy to do so given the fun game format. They love this type of worksheet;

Greek Letters-To-Words Cryptogram….Faster students appreciate this type the most;
