FREE MISC. LESSON - “100th Day of School Circle Time Song and Activity FREEBIE”

It's time to celebrate the 100th Day of School! And it's time for me to celebrate 1800 fantastic followers! As a thank you, here’s a fun circle time song (sung to "The Farmer In The Dell") FREEBIE to help you celebrate. This song helps your young learners think about the things that they've done at school...you guessed it...at least one hundred times. Vocabulary cards are included to help your crew anticipate lyrics, along with an open-ended no-prep printable. Perfect to accent your One Hundredth Day of School Celebration!

Appropriate for use in Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade.

Directions:

In advance, copy the vocabulary cards on pages 5 – 6 (or b/w, pages 7 – 8). If you’re using the b/w version, color the pictures. Laminate the pages for durability and cut them apart.

1. Before singing, show children each vocabulary card and help them identify
the activity on each card.

2. Place the reading vocabulary card in a pocket chart and sing the song

Then invite your crew to sing with you!

3. Sing this song more times, using the vocabulary cards and replacing the

italicized word with writing, making friend, recess, drawing, play dough,

centers, recess, lunch time, counting, singing, kindness, and other

student suggestions.

4 Then invite children to complete the open-ended printable by illustrating one
school activity they have done at least one hundred times! Bind the
completed pictures to create a 100th Day of School Class book.
