Finding appropriate social skills materials for your older special needs students can be difficult! When the language level is right, the social scenarios may be too young. If the problem is right, there may not be enough support for language skills. Try this FREE unit to see how engaged your students can be and how many goals you can address in your mixed groups!
Students make their own inferences about the problem details after discussing idioms, nonverbal language, facial expressions, and emotions. Providing their own details about the social situation lets them make a personal connection to the short story!
