A Phonics resource for teachers! Check out this invaluable teacher/parent
phonics resource for anyone using a phonics program that
builds words one or more letter(s) at a time, as sounds are introduced. This is an amazing resource, and an easy to
use reference tool, that follows the Jolly Phonics (Jolly Learning Ltd) letter sequence to provides
words to read and write... using only the sounds that have been taught!
• The words have been created using a
sound sequence. The word lists only
contain the sound the children are learning and sounds that have been
previously taught!
• As the sound is taught, the children
should be able to blend any of the words listed using that sound, and words on
previous lists of sounds they have learned.
• Kindergarten children should be able
to sound out and eventually spell words using sounds from the transparent
alphabet, which have been taught. (Older students can apply spelling skills and
new sounds that they have learned. (e.g. the -ck endings, double letters,
alternate spellings, -sion/-tion words,
and words that have the schwa sound.)
• As the sound is taught, the children
should be able to blend any of the words listed using that sound, and words on
previous lists of sounds they have learned.

• NOTE: This is also an excellent diagnostic tool to
determine which sounds, or spellings, need to be taught/ re-taught.
Have a great day!
