FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “EDITABLE PowerPoints for Glowie Mats”

by The Primary Techie
Kindergarten - 3rd Grade

Glowie Mats are a huge hit in classrooms across the country! Just turn off the lights and let students write on them with finger flashlights. These mats are so versatile! They can be used year after year.
These PowerPoints are designed to be used with Glowie® Mats. Edit the PowerPoint and save under a new name. You can create spelling words, math facts, sight words, students names, and more! Turn on the PowerPoint, turn off the light in your classroom and students write on mats with finger flashlights. If you don’t have a set of Glowie® Mats, they can be purchased at www.getaGLOWIE.com.
This set includes three separate PowerPoints with 10, 15, and 20 slides. I use this template each week with our current spelling words. Letters appear one at a time, stay for a bit to allow students to check their spelling, then fade away for the next word to appear. This is a wonderful alternative to paper and pencil (plus my class is always so much more quiet when we turn the lights off).
Glowie mats are translucent so you can put ANYTHING under them. This set includes a PDF for blank writing line to be used as a handwriting guide. Just print these sheets and lay them under your Glowie Mats. There is nothing else to prep. Use again and again!
