by The Teacher Treasury

*UPDATED 9/9/14*

1 sheet, graphic organizer format

Stopping and Jotting is a technique used by students to remember specific information from their readings. It is suggested they read a few pages, then stop, reflect and jot down their thoughts.

This particular Stopping and Jotting lesson focuses on Character Traits.

Students are asked the following.

Use adjectives to describe what the main character looks like on the outside.

Use adjectives to describe what the main character is like on the inside. Why do you think the character is this kind of person?

What are some of the things the main character does in this story?

What would you do if you were the main character in this story?

Hope this helps =)
