Open a discussion of socialization and gender in your sociology class with this free activity. Students will answer a pre and post viewing prompt, watch a TedTalk and answer questions, and watch another short clip about marketing and gender. This activity is a fantastic springboard to get students thinking about the social construction of gender.
Be certain to preview the film links before showing to make sure they are appropriate for your students.
