1st Grade
One of the difficulties I find in my math class is that children do not understand what they have to do to solve a math problem. They don’t see what its purpose is and it is hard for them to reason the process they have to follow for its resolution.
Therefore I came to make some mini acting stories. Each mini theatre is practiced by two or three students. In all of them I use some sort of material that we have in class to make it easier for the rest of the students (public) to see what is happening (if they have lost material or if they have won it) and with this most of them easily see the operation to be done.
Encouraged by this little theatre they are all very excited and motivated to go out and dramatize to the rest of the class who, as viewers, are very focused and prepared to solve the different situations that arise.
Una de las dificultades que me encuentro en mi clase de matemáticas es que los niños no entienden por que tienen que hacer un problema matemático, no ven cual es su finalidad y les cuesta razonar qué proceso seguir para su resolución.
Por todo ello se me ocurrió hacer unas mini historias dialogadas. Cada mini representación es practicada por dos o tres alumnos. En todas ellas utilizan algún tipo de material que tenemos en clase para que sea más fácil para el resto de alumnos (público) ver que es lo que ha pasado (si han perdido material o si lo han ganado) con lo cual ven más sencillamente la operación que deben realizar.
Este teatrillo les anima. Están todos muy ilusionados y motivados para salir a representar y el resto de la clase, como espectadores, están muy atentos para poder resolver las diferentes situaciones que se presentan.
