FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Flipped Learning: Introducing Embedded Quotations with the Quotation Burger”

by Spark Creativity
9th - 12th Grade

Teaching the embedded quotation is vital and tricky. Use this video to introduce the concept to your students at home and then work with them on it in class. It's a great chance to try a mini-flip in your classroom if you are dabbling with the idea of having students consume some of your course content at home.

If you wish, you can follow up with my complete packet "Teaching the Embedded Quotation with Quotation Burgers." This popular packet has been downloaded thousands of times, and gives students a chance to master embedding their own quotations in a fun and memorable way. As one teacher wrote in her review, "Students love the burger. They can visualize it. I just had a parent ask for this graphic organizer in an IEP meeting."

You can find the full packet right here.
