FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Journalism Newspaper Analysis, Use Real-World Print to Inspire Yearbook Students”

by Julie Faulkner
9th - 12th Grade

Examining real-world print publications can teach and inspire students in the areas of headline and caption writing, photography, and language. This activity functions like a scavenger hunt, and the questions are higher-order and designed to teach students to analyze parts of print publication so as to apply that knowledge when they are creating their own yearbooks and newspapers.

Just add newspapers, and you'll be set. Simple sub sheet included, as this would work wonderfully if you need to be absent.
