Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
These games are a fun way for students to review addition facts. This set has 2 pages of addition games that use 2 dice, 2 pages for 3 dice, and 2 pages for the sum of 2 dice plus 10.
These games address the following Common Core Standards* for kinder, first, and second:
K.OA.A.1 Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings1, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out
situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.
K.OA.A.5 Fluently add and subtract within 5.
K.NBT.A.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones.
1.OA.B.3 Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract.
1.OA.C.5 Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
1.OA.C.6 Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
1.OA.D.8 Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers.
1.NBT.C.5 Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.2 By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
