4th - 12th Grade
Engage your ESL Students in this setting activity. This Omega English activity requires students to work collaboratively to generate a symbol that accurately represents one of setting characteristics. Students then justify their response. Included is a one page handout on setting. It highlights what the reader should be focusing on when trying to identify the various settings of a text. The document can be projected during mini-lessons and note-taking sessions or printed to be used as a handout or poster. In addition, you receive the group work graphic organizer, a model response/sample, and a two page handout of sentence starters that prompt analysis.
