FREE SCIENCE LESSON - “Pilgrim Boat Penny STEM Task”

by KinderIrick
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Looking for a fun way to incorporate STEM into your curriculum? Here is an easy and fun way to get your kids thinking. Challenge them to design foil boats that will float and then see which design holds the most pennies. After they have found the best design, challenge them to make a boat that can sail across the water carrying 10 pennies. Now they have to think of a way to design and attach a sail to their foil boats.

This is great for Engineering and Design as well as Force and Motion concepts.
