FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Free Multiple Meaning Words in Riddles for Speech Language Therapy”

by Susan Berkowitz
1st - 5th Grade

Use these riddles with multiple meaning words to help students who have language disorders and who miss the point of jokes or don’t understand what’s so funny because they lack the flexibility of vocabulary to understand that the answer lies in a multiple meaning word or a homophone or a metaphor.

Speech-language therapy time may sound like just having fun when we teach our students jokes, but they need to learn how to understand and respond to jokes in order to fit in socially with their peers - or even their siblings.

Enjoy this free resource with 8 riddle cards and 8 picture cards. And, of course, the answers.
