Pre-Kindergarten - 1st Grade
Teach your students to read VC and CVC words with this FREE activity! Children should say the sounds as they send a small doll or toy animal down the slide and then blend them together to read the word. Low-prep and lots of FUN for your literacy centers!
Slide mats with the following words are provided in color (one word per mat):
•up, can, pen, big, dog, run
•A recording sheet is also provided for children to have a go at writing the words (with space for writing 6 words).
