Tell us about yourself.
My name
is Elizabeth and I have been teaching in the great state of Virginia for 10
years. I have taught 1st
grade for most of those years but recently started a new journey in 2nd
grade. When I am not teaching I love to
spend time with my husband doing something outdoors like hiking, swimming, and
running.
What do you like best about teaching?
I love
that every day is a NEW day! You never know what to expect when you walk in the
door in the morning. I also love when a
child has a “light bulb” moment; that moment when you can see it on their faces
that they get a skill that was previously difficult for them!
Describe your favorite TpT product.
My
Letter Sound RTI is my favorite. It took
a long time to create and I have had so much success with it, with my own
students, in helping them recognize letters and sounds. The product is a 25 days RTI program. This can be done 1 on 1 or in a small
group. All materials are included and if
laminated, can be used year after year!
What advice would you give to someone who may want to become a
seller at Teachers Pay Teachers?
I would
say “GO FOR IT” You won’t regret it! By becoming a seller it brought back some
of the joy of teaching that had been lost by testing and data. My students have benefited greatly from new
ideas and products. TpT is an awesome community where everyone genuinely cares
about one another and wants everyone to be successful. The only thing I regret it not joining
sooner!
What have you done or hope to do with your TpT earnings?
Anything
and everything. My eventual goal is be
able to take a year or 2 off of teaching to focus on our family.
What do you like best about being a member of The Best of
Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative?
I love
the access it has given me to new buyers and collaborative efforts from other
sellers! It’s a great community! I have
seen great gain in profits, followers, and feedback since joining! I’m happy to
be here!
