Tell us about yourself.
I have been teaching K – 2 in Vancouver, Canada for over 20 years. I am married to a High School teacher and we have 2 children in Elementary School. As a family we love winter sports like hockey and skiing and summer activities like camping and hiking. We live on the North Shore mountains in the city of North Vancouver.
What do you like best about teaching?
The instant gratification when a child “gets it” and the smiles and laughter that children provide. Oh yeah, and the fact that every day is different and it is NEVER boring.
Describe your favorite TpT product.
My favourite product is called SUPER SIMPLE STORY WRITING for PRIMARY GRADES. I developed this product for story writing with Kindergarten students but have expanded it to work well with Grades 1, 2, and 3 as well. It’s very easy to use, and there are tons of step-by-step directions and blackline masters.
What advice would you give to someone who may want to become a seller at Teachers Pay Teachers?
Be prepared to spend a lot of time learning how to use social media and graphics programs. Check out the blogs and stores of successful sellers for ideas on how to present your items, but be original with what you create.
What have you done or hope to do with your TpT earnings?
Firstly, I am taking my family to Las Vegas when I attend the conference, and secondly, I’d like to have more money so that I could possibly work part-time and be home with my kids.
What do you like best about being a member of The Best of Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative?
I am learning a lot about marketing and connecting with other sellers.
