Math Lesson – "Absolute Value Footloose"

Middle School Math Moments

Students and teachers love Footloose! Students enjoy the movement while they are reviewing concepts; teachers enjoy the high level of student engagement and the quick/easy preparation.

Absolute Value Footloose includes a set of 30 question cards, requiring students to identify absolute value, compare and order absolute values and integers, and apply absolute value to real-life situations.
Students solve each of the 30 problems and record their answers in the corresponding boxes on their Footloose grids.

This activity includes the Footloose grid, a set of 30 cards (the set is included with and without a background -SAME questions, but the option of a background when printing), an answer key, and directions.

Addresses Common Core math standards:
6.NS.7c
6.NS.7d
